February 22 - March 6- Quiet Weeks
Quiet Weeks can be described as a meditative atmosphere in the midst of daily life. Participants and parts of the main building are in silence as staff go about their daily work. There are opportunities to meet and dialogue with others. After work hours the entire building is in silence. See Quiet Weeks Information, and contact reception to arrange a stay.
February 28 - Saturday All-Day Sitting
Contact reception to attend this popular day-long event, especially if you wish to stay as a guest the night before or after. More All-Day information.

March 7 - 14 - Seven-day retreat with Sandra Gonzalez
Sandra returns to Springwater from Nicaragua, where she has been meeting with friends in a retreat setting. Sandra has a deep love for meeting and dialogue with others, and has been taking part in retreat at the Center since 1988. In 2003, Toni Packer asked Sandra to begin meeting with others and to give talks on the Center's work.  Space is available in this retreat; please apply here.
Hear a talk by Sandra from last October, where she mentions nothing disturbing this quiet, and a fresh, new way of being here; connected and alive. She talks about looking back at her life and judging--the fear of being discovered and then not being loved. She goes into questions:  "What is our life? Who are we? Is it possible to live a life that makes sense?" Then she speaks about the mind of not-knowing, and being in the flow of life, even in difficult situations.
See Sandra's web page for more information, articles, recordings and an interview.
March 15 - Sunday Springwater Trails Hiking Group - Hike and Meeting
The Center will host the local hiking group, beginning with hiking trials on the Center land at 2 p.m. followed by refreshments and the Hiking group's annual meeting. Come and get to know members of the local community. For more information please contact the hiking group.
March 28 - April 4 - Seven-Day retreat with Bob Dattola
An anniversary retreat! Thirty years ago in early spring the first retreat was held at Springwater Center. Amazingly, Bob has been a part of the Center for even longer--in fact since its inception. He'll bring a strong spirit of inquiry to the retreat, reflecting his deep interest in the questions, "What is truth or reality? Where can truth be found?" Apply here to attend the retreat.
In Bob's talk from last November,  he explored listening, understanding, and another way of being that comes out of this presence, this hereness. In Bob's words, "In this hereness there's some kind of . . . intelligence that works totally outside of this thinking process.. . . And it's not just intelligence. The word I like to use is compassion." Use this link to hear Bob's talk.
The Sense of Urgency - a Talk by Toni Packer
Hear a talk from the February 1999 retreat, where Toni speaks about feeling urgency to come to clarity. She goes into a question many people ask: "Can the realization of the wholeness of life actualize in our daily life?" What if we simply fall silent with this question?
