Here's your news for April from on and off campus. Spring term has once again sprung, and signs of life are appearing in and on all sorts of fields. Athletes, especially Syzygy (women's D-I Ultimate) and women's tennis, are off to particularly strong starts. A recent Physics Today article highlights how physics professor Marty Baylor emphasizes both professionalism and belonging in her classes. A new book edited by Cheryl Klein ’00 shows how our knowledge of the extinction of the dinosaurs springs from work by Walter Alvarez ’62, and Mary-Claire King ’67 is the recipient of a prestigious award from the National Academy of Sciences. If your own projects have put some spring in your step, do let us know, and read on for more news from campus and beyond.
