As summer break winds down, we're gearing up for one of the most exciting times of the year – move-in! It's time to start planning for your student's return to campus. Make sure they're ready with everything they need, from packing lists (on-campus students should reference what NOT to bring on this list too) to class registration to campus job opportunities.
While I've enjoyed a little break amidst the buzz of welcoming thousands of new students at Bobcat Student Orientation this summer, I eagerly anticipate seeing your students back on campus with the energy and enthusiasm they bring to Athens. I'm excited for your student to begin a successful academic year, and I'm here to support them every step of the way.
If you’re helping your Bobcat move in, I’ll see you soon!

Does your student want to return to campus early? Housing is offering an opportunity to come back at no charge by joining the Bobcat Move-In Crew! Students can help first-years move in on August 22-23. They'll earn volunteer hours, receive a complimentary t-shirt, have free early arrival housing, and enjoy helping our new class of Bobcats. Students can apply via Housing Self-Service until August 1.

Get ready to return to campus |
Help your student check these six things off their list to prep for move-in:
|
|
|
1. Finalize or complete your Vaccination Information Form: Students are required to report meningitis and hepatitis vaccination information. Visit Housing Self-Service, select the ‘Contracts and Applications’ tab and choose the Vaccination Information Form. This must be completed before your student arrives on campus.
2. Review fall move-in information: For the official move-in schedule and other information, visit the online arrival guide.
3. Change your meal plan: Students can change their meal plan via Housing Self-Service up to the second Friday of fall semester (September 6 at 4 p.m.). After that, they can only increase their meal plan.
|
|
4. Update or complete contact information: Students should update their ‘Missing Persons Contact’ information on their Housing Self-Service page under ‘Personal Information’.
5. Add Bobcat Cash: Load Bobcat Cash to your student's OHIO ID for use in student labs and libraries for printing, laundry, shopping and eating!
6. Review our recommended packing list and the Housing Handbook: Review the packing checklist to see what your student should bring and not bring. And don't forget to review the Student Housing Handbook so you and your student are familiar with all the policies, procedures, and resources they will have access to on campus.

Save yourself time by shipping items to our partners Storage Scholars. They will receive your packages, notify you, and deliver everything to your student's room before they arrive on campus. Sign up by August 1.
