Welcome to AFSA Lillian Wistock!
|
Lillian Wistock recently began in her position as an Administrative Assistant III at UT Health Science Center. Originally from Memphis, Lillian has a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. Previous to starting at UT Health Science Center, she worked many service industry jobs until landing at her dad’s construction company, where she learned that she didn’t want construction to be her career. In her role she serves as an assistant to the student success team, by fielding any and all questions in the office and pointing students to the right place. "I like talking to people and learning from them or just plain helping them." said Lillian. She is passionate about music, particularly metal and punk, and can go on about the 90s alternative music scene forever. "If you want a short conversation with me, don’t mention music." She also enjoys reading mainly contemporary fiction and poetry.

AFSA Across the Globe: Congratulations to Dr. Liz Hall on competing in the Ironman World Championship in Nice, France!
|
Congratulations to Dr. Liz Hall for competing in the Ironman World Championship in Nice, France. Dr. Hall placed 94th in her age group, and qualified for the Boston Marathon. She was supported by her colleagues from AFSA, such as Dr. Allen Dupont, who flew to France and cheered her on from the Sidelines.

Congratulations to these AFSA folks for their contributions to making more efficient processes using tecnology! |
Recently, Carriann Bingham (Library), Jean Perdicaris (Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Simulation, CHIPS) and Veronica Reliford Thomas (Teaching and Learning Center) incorporated technology to improve processes in AFSA units. These improvements will enhance customer service and create efficiencies in the units by saving employee time when handling program registrations and activities, collecting funds, and making deposits. Thanks Carriann, Jean, and Veronica for your contributions!
