Sister Act II: Back in the Habit has always been a favorite movie of mine with great singing and some wonderful life lessons. The rendition of Joyful Joyful sang towards the end has such emotion that it's contagious.

CATHOLIC CULTURE LECTURE SERIES

Want to learn more about the culture of the Catholic Church?  The diocese is putting on a free lecture series with monthly speakers!  All are invited to attend this month's lecture titled "The Catholic Church & Evolution" at the Catholic Pastoral Center downtown.  Refreshments will be provided, but no child care is available. 
MARY'S MEALS FUN RUN

Mary's Meals is an international charity that feeds over 1.2 million children per day around the world.  Des Moines representatives will hold their annual fun run in historic Valley Junction to benefit Mary's Meals on May 12.  Each participant registration will feed 1 child for a year.  Click below to register.
