SCHULICH ALUMNI NEWSLETTER MARCH 2024
| |
Dear Schulich Alumni,
Today, the worldwide Schulich community proudly celebrates this year’s International Women’s Day, which is based on the uplifting theme, “Inspire Inclusion.”
This annual day of celebration provides an opportunity to salute the many accomplishments and contributions women have made – here in our own community and throughout the world – while also renewing our commitment to fostering greater equality and creating more inclusive workplaces.
As we recognize International Women’s Day today, please join me in paying tribute to the women who enrich our School, contribute to our success, and strengthen our community.

Dean’s Society Quarterly Profile
| |
We are delighted to feature as a part of our Dean’s Society program a spotlight on Karen L. Kuwahara (MBA ’77), a distinguished alumna from the MBA class of 1977. Karen has been a longtime supporter of Schulich, who made her first gift to the school in 1987! With a remarkable career in marketing, Karen retired as the President of Nestle Purina PetCare Canada in 2013.
When asked about her support to Schulich, Karen shared, “I am happy to donate to Schulich as a way of paying it forward for the solid foundation the school provided to carry me through my career. Visiting the campus recently, I am impressed to see the continued progress Schulich is making to serve the changing times and market. The need for support and funds is greater than ever, and I hope students and graduates of Schulich are like-minded and will also consider donating - every little bit helps!”
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Karen for her ongoing support, which continues to enrich the Schulich community immeasurably.
