We hope you're enjoying the summer with your friends and family! We can't wait to officially welcome you to Sacramento State this fall.

Below we've listed a few events that will be happening at the beginning of the school year! Attending Convocation and Hornet Nest Fest are valuable opportunities to meet new friends and become immersed in the hive.

New Student Convocation

Thursday, August 22nd from 6-7 p.m.

University Union Ballroom

The New Student & Family Convocation officially welcomes all newly enrolled students and their families to Sacramento State. This academic ceremony serves as an introduction to Sacramento State's institutional values. Students and their supporters will have the opportunity to participate in the pinning ceremony, where they'll be provided exclusive Sacramento State pins. To attend this event, you must RSVP by Friday, August 9, at noon.

Hornet Nest Fest

Friday, August 23rd from 5-8 p.m.

Main Quad

Kick off the Fall semester at Hornet Nest Fest! At this event, you will have the opportunity to meet President Wood and enjoy free food, music, and more.

You can claim up to four (4) tickets for access to Hornet Nest Fest and food tents. To attend this event, you must RSVP by Monday, August 15, at noon.

Additionally, Convocation and Hornet Nest Fest are two of the 12 events that will be a part of the Arrive to the Hive Challenge. By attending all of the events, you'll win Sac State swag and will be entered into a drawing for the grand prize!
