Ex College
Dear Parents and Families,
It is an honor to introduce myself and tell you about a unique experiential learning opportunity for Tufts students during spring break. Since 2009, I have taught a class dedicated to Microfinance, or financial services for the poor, through the Tufts Experimental College. The class I teach at Tufts is a byproduct of my time in the field in Sierra Leone, Colombia and Mongolia, where I interacted directly with the participants and providers of microfinance programs. Academic Advising

Advising Period

It’s hard to believe, but we are approaching the registration period for spring 2017. The advising period is a two-week span before registration in which students should make appointments with their advisors to check in and discuss courses for the spring. Please encourage your student to be proactive about making an appointment during this period.

Advising Period: Monday, October 31 - Friday, November 11
Registration: Monday, November 14 - Friday, November 25

Marathon of Majors

The Office for Student Success and Advising will be holding Tufts’ second annual Marathon of Majors Fair on October 17. At the fair, students can speak with faculty and declared students in their majors of interest and connect to resources to support their academic success. Please encourage your student to attend! This is a great opportunity to engage with multiple departments in one place at one time.
