-
Use Tools: A physical planner or electronic planner is essential! You can also use apps like Outlook to track class schedules, deadlines, and commitments or Task managers like Todoist or OneNote can help you break down assignments, prioritize tasks, and set reminders.
- Designate Study Spaces: Find quiet, comfortable places on campus to focus on coursework.
-
Break It Down: Tackle large assignments by breaking them into smaller, manageable steps.

Get Involved! Getting involved doesn’t only happen at the beginning of the school year. The spring semester is a great time to try something new. Consider joining a new club or organization at the Involvement Fair (on 1/22), applying for a campus job or leadership position (OL applications open Friday) or attending an event (check out what SAB has planned)!
- Stay Connected! Build relationships with professors, advisors, and other professionals who can offer guidance and support throughout your journey at Seton Hall. Stop in to see your advisor or reach out to a professor you had previously to reconnect. We enjoy hearing from you and keeping up with your milestones. You never know when you will need a letter of recommendation – the best references come from folks who know you well!
- Focus On Well Being! College can be challenging for everyone, and it’s okay to ask for help—whether it’s for academics, mental health, or personal concerns. You are not alone in feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Seton Hall has resources to help you be your best self!
