Andrew McShan, assistant professor in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, has been awarded a $1.4 million CAREER grant from the National Science Foundation to support research in the field of lipids and how they interact with proteins in the body.

Richard Nichols, professor emeritus the School of Biological Sciences, has been awarded the 2025 Bernstein Prize by the International Society of Motor Control. The prize recognizes significant contributions to the field of motor control and learning.

Chi Hoi (Kyle) Yip, a visiting professor in the School of Mathematics, has been awarded the 2025 Blair Spearman Doctoral Prize by the Canadian Mathematical Society, which recognizes outstanding performance by a doctoral student who graduated from a Canadian university.
