| Classroom Presentations
The ORCI is currently scheduling classroom presentations for the Fall semester. If you are interested in having a representative from the ORCI and/or the Institutional Review Board (IRB) serve as a guest presenter in your classroom to discuss research ethics/compliance topics (i.e., human subjects research, responsible conduct of research, etc.), please email us. We will try to accommodate as many requests as possible.

| International Shipments / Hand-Carrying of GVSU-Owned Items
The US Census Bureau requires an Electronic Export Information (EEI) filing for certain international shipments depending on the item(s) and value. EEIs are also required when hand-carrying items (including laptops and phones) to China, Russia, and Venezuela. Please contact the ORCI at least five business days before sending international packages and at least 10 business days prior to departing the US with GVSU-owned items to the aforementioned countries. ORCI will review the EEI filing requirements and help ensure the EEI filing is completed by the required deadline, as well as determine if an export license is required.

| We're Taking Research Matters on the Road!
The Research Matters team is excited to offer in-person versions of our training modules, starting in Fall 2025, upon request. Reach out to Marsely Kehoe if you're interested. We're hoping to get groups of at least 10 attendees together when we "go on the road," so if your unit is interested, let us know! The Research Matters modules are also available as recorded sessions on our website, and as always, feel free to reach out to your Grants and Contracts Specialist whenever you have a proposal on your horizon.
