COUNTRY RECORDING DUO
THE BAND STEELE
SET TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE "COPPER COIL"
Haunting Track Available Via All Digital Retail And Streaming Platforms February 21, 2020
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Fire River Records has announced the newest release anticipated from its flagship artist, The Band Steele. The duo (Bo Steele/Ben Rubino) will release its sixth studio recording, titled “Copper Coil,”* in late February. Co-written by Steele, Rubino and Stacy Stavola, the soulful and captivating track will be available via all digital retail and streaming platforms Friday, February 21, 2020. Presale event begins
Friday, February 7, 2020.

Produced by Matt McClure (Lee Brice/Lindsay Ell/Dylan Scott) and recorded at The Roost in Nashville, Tennessee, the original tune was inspired by the mystique of “The Man In Black” and an old-time family heritage. The eerie western opener dresses the scene for a darkness that lies within a backwoods forest and blankets a tortured soul who seeks freedom and escape with the aid of a powerful spirit. Prophetic fiddle solos dance with weeping banjo hooks to complement Bo Steele’s raw and mournfully haunting vocals to reveal a painful and desperate emotion.

So, I curse at my shadow while the moon laughs at me
Dancin’ to music from a ghost I can't see
He sings about prison and a ring made of fire

Sounds like an angel with a coyote choir
Copper Coil, won’t you rain on me
Let this shine speak to me

“This is a ghost story about Johnny Cash; the dark vibe was inspired by my Papa who had an old copper still in his basement,” introduced Ben Rubino, the band’s lead guitar player.

“…and alcohol can take the mind to different places and spaces,” Rubino said. “…’Let it lie, let it lie, till I lie on the floor' symbolizes how alcohol can take you to a place that isn’t real or true; sometimes, it just becomes a mask for unhappiness and pain.”

One of my favorite quotes is ‘dance with spirits’ because of its two-fold meaning: confronting and accepting your ghosts or fears, or being freed by alcohol. ‘Copper Coil’ captures that sentiment and the ‘spirit’ of Johnny’s ghost,” added lead singer, Bo Steele.

The release of the new track coincides with the momentum and success of The Band Steele’s current single, “Waitin’ On Sunshine,” (AT RADIO NOW and No. 48 on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart). The new digital release, “Copper Coil,” sets the stage for the flavorful music “Steele Insiders” can expect from the Alabama boys’ forthcoming CD. Bo and Ben are currently on their seventh leg of their “Waitin’ On Sunshine” Radio Promotion Tour with station visits scheduled in Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Arkansas in the coming weeks. The Band Steele is scheduled to participate in Country Radio Seminar activities in February.

ABOUT THE BAND STEELE:
The Band Steele is made up of longtime friends, Bo Steele/Ben Rubino, who formed a rock band as teenagers in Alabama. The duo’s career catapulted when Bo’s impromptu, a capella performance of “Victory In Jesus” went viral and “The Band Steele” became an Internet phenom.

The pair’s momentum has been explosive since aligning with its label (Fire River Records-NY/ 2014). In just a few short years, The Band Steele released its debut album, Moon In A Mason Jar (2017), four singles to country radio (“Tan Lines” • “195” • “Sit Awhile” • “Waitin’ On Sunshine”), one single to Christian radio (“Victory In Jesus”) and filmed five music videos. The “195” music video premiered on “Country Fix” (Heartland TV/Aug. 2018), while “Taste Of Country” digitally debuted the video where it peaked as a “Top 3 Fan Favorite.” Country Rebel has supported The Band Steele to showcase multiple music video performances (including “Victory In Jesus,” “The Lineman,” “God Bless The USA” and their rendition of “Strawberry Wine”) stacking combined views upward of 7 Million.

Their swift success captured the attention of media; the duo received the extended invitation to appear on “The Ty Bentli Show” and “TODAY In Nashville” (NBC-Nashvillle) among other local ABC, NBC and CBS TV affiliates, and on the nationally syndicated show, “Small Town Big Deal” (the September 2019 episode spotlights their acoustic performance of “Sit Awhile.”) The pair was invited to perform with the globally-recognized television show "Orange County Choppers (American Choppers)” both at their venue/showroom and at their booth at The New York International Auto Show. The Band Steele has provided direct support to various multi-platinum selling recording artists, including Maren Morris and Andy Grammer, and a Band Steele original tune, “Good Times,” is featured in the Lionsgate film "Life On The Line” (John Travolta/Sharon Stone). Bo makes a cameo appearance performing the song. The duo was also recognized as "Favorite New Group Or Duo" by South Florida Country Music (2019).

The “must-see” arena act released its third single “Sit Awhile” to country radio in August 2018 recorded as a dedication to our military. The tune has enjoyed exponential engagement from millions worldwide by both country music enthusiasts and military supporters. The track peaked at #36 on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart (March 2019). The corresponding “Sit Awhile” music video, filmed as a patriotic tribute to our men and women of military service and their families, premiered on CMT.com and has enjoyed more than 1,000,000 YouTube views to date. In recognition of the overwhelming response from members of the military, The Band Steele 2019 Military Tour, has included performances at hospitals, veteran’s homes and military bases across the country, including Marine Corps Base Quantico, Fort Bragg, Fort Campbell, Fort Hood, Naval Station Norfolk, Tyndall Air Force Base and USO Georgia among others, and at the 2019 Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Carry Forward ® 5K events, delivered by CSX.
A sophomore album, produced by multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated Matt McClure (Lee Brice, Lindsay Ell, Dylan Scott), is in the works.
