Research shows that when students participate in research are more likely to have experiences that allow them to make decisions about their careers – including graduate school. Every summer the Office of Undergraduate Research organizes in partnership with the Graduate School, the “Graduate School Mini Expo.” This event is geared towards undergraduate researchers who are making decisions about their next steps. Sessions cover a range of topics including applying, interviewing, funding, and thriving in graduate school.

Earn Your Sumer Undergraduate Research Scholar Badge

University of Utah Summer Undergraduate Research Scholar Badge recognizes summer researchers for their active engagement in summer research. Summer research activities assist students with developing skills that support work force and life skill competencies, professional skills, and enhance post-graduate outcomes. Earners of this badge complete summer research with a faculty mentor and educational content, and present their research at the U.

Nationally Competitive Scholarships for Postgraduate Experiences Abroad

The University of Utah’s Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships (ONCS) is pleased to announce applications for nationally competitive scholarships are open or will open soon.
