Hispanic Heritage Month!

Hello Hornet,

September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM)–a time to celebrate the individual contributions, diverse cultures, and histories of the Hispanic/Latinx community.

Sacramento State is a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), and 38% of our student population identifies as Hispanic/Latinx. The Serna Center at Sacramento State offers resources, cultural programming, and a safe space for Latinx-identifying students and the campus community.

We believe in fostering an inclusive and diverse environment that recognizes and celebrates our student body's rich tapestry of cultures.

Celebrate With Us!

To commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month, the campus will host events and activities that highlight the unique traditions, history, and achievements of the Latinx/Hispanic community. We encourage you to join! HHM is an opportunity for every member of our university community to come together, learn, and grow in understanding and appreciation of Hispanic/Latinx culture.
