The Tufts Career Center

Your first year is a unique time for growth, exploration, and more. The Tufts Career Center offers extensive resources for exploring career options and developing strategies for pursuing your goals. These include career education programs, Career Fellows (undergraduate peer advisors) to introduce you to the Career Center, individual career advising appointments, and comprehensive tools designed to help you assess your skills, interests, values, competencies and experiences. You'll hear more from our team this fall, but in the meantime, visit the following link for answers to three questions:
  • How can I learn more about the Career Center this summer?
  • How does the Career Center communicate with me throughout the year?
  • What is Tufts Handshake?

Fall 2022: Tufts Career Center Course

7 weeks, 1 credit, Friday 10:20 a.m.–12 noon
EXP-0068: Designing Your Career Journey

This course is a perfect introduction to career development for first-year students! It's a half-semester and runs for the first seven weeks of the fall semester. This is a hybrid course where some sessions are in person and some are virtual with asynchronous work. Throughout the seven weeks, you’ll learn how to use design thinking to find meaningful experiences in college and jumpstart your career exploration. Included will be fun and engaging activities and speakers, as well as an opportunity to build a supportive community with other students. By the end of this course, you will have created a plan to kick off your career exploration while at Tufts.
