Summer Opportunity
University of Michigan Future Public Health Leaders Program (Michigan FPHLP) is currently accepting applications for Summer 2020! The Michigan FPHLP 2020 Application is open until January 31, 2020.

Michigan FPHLP is a 10-week summer residential program for underrepresented college students and recent graduates who are looking for a meaningful introduction to public health. It is a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Minority Health and Health Equity (OMHHE) to address the shortage of diversity in the public health workforce. No public health experience is required and all majors are encouraged to apply.

Brigham and Women's Hospital
Under moderate supervision of the Principal Investigator, Senior Research Assistant or
Manager, the Research Assistant I is responsible for a variety of activities in support of
clinical research studies in the Department of Endocrinology. These responsibilities include: recruiting and evaluating patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study
visits; maintaining and updating data generated by the study and IRB applications.

The mission of the International Institute of New England is to create opportunities for refugees and immigrants to succeed through resettlement, education, career advancement and pathways to citizenship. 
Onsite volunteer opportunities are designed to support Workforce Development programming, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Industry Training Programs, and Employment Services, and Community Services programming.

IINE staff work to match volunteers’ interests, availability, and talents with the needs of the people we serve.  Our staff trains every volunteer before they begin their service, and volunteer opportunities range from formal internships and Corps member programs to day or multi-month engagements.

The American Physical Therapy Association has launched a new initiative to increase engagement with prospective physical therapy students.

NSF funds a large number of research opportunities for undergraduate students through its REU Sites program. Each student is associated with a specific research project, where he/she works closely with the faculty and other researchers. Students are granted stipends and, in many cases, assistance with housing and travel.
