We know KU's footprint expands beyond Lawrence and into the Kansas City region, Topeka, Wichita, Salina, and more Kansas communities. Our reach even extends outside the Kansas borders through online learning! If your home base is outside of Lawrence, these links may be helpful to you.

Focus on Faculty Development & Growth |
The Office of Faculty Affairs centers our work on three priorities: Faculty Advancement & Recognition, Faculty Development & Growth, and Faculty Relations & Policy.
All of our programming, such as the drop-in hours and New Faculty Orientation (to register, see below), are a part of our faculty development & growth. Soon you will hear more about our 2-year New Faculty programming, which is created to help you navigate your way through the tools, resources, and support available to you at KU. We also offer writing sessions and Faculty Learning Circles throughout the semester as a part of our Faculty in Conversation Series as well as our KU Faculty Development Academies week which takes place every May, after finals. Additionally, Faculty Affairs plans and facilitates signature leadership programs such as Senior Administrative Fellows.
Continue to check this weekly email update and our website for new and upcoming programing!

Save the date: New Faculty Orientation
| Save the date for New Faculty Orientation:
August 19!
Our New Faculty Orientation is a full-day event. It serves as an opportunity to hear from campus leaders; learn more about KU’s students; and become acquainted with key units that support teaching and research, provide course design resources, help with grant writing and funding, and foster professional development. Most importantly, New Faculty Orientation will provide you with a chance to connect with each other.
Additionally, we are hosting a New Faculty Orientation campus tour on the Tuesday morning (Aug. 20). Join us for coffee and donuts, and a guided tour to learn more about our beautiful campus.
