| Here's your news for December
from on and off campus.

We are excited to share with you the newly updated Alumni Network—your home on the Carleton website for connecting with classmates and the college. The updated website, which launched today, features easier navigation, improved search tools, and a fresh new look.
Our email system has also been updated to include new designs and to allow you more control over the types of messages you receive from Carleton. Through this change, you may start receiving more email communications from the college than you have recently. You are always able to opt out or adjust your communication settings by following the prompts at the bottom of any Alumni Relations message.
More updates to the Alumni Directory and our other digital offerings will be coming soon!

KRLX gets a makeover
Carleton's student-run radio station, which has been housed for decades in the basement of Sayles, is undergoing major renovations. The new FM studio will be back on the air in the new year with a more modern environment, updated equipment, and enough room for live performances. Tune in in January!
| |
New campus housing, stronger residential communities
Carleton is about to embark on a major multi-year plan to improve off-campus residences, where one in five students live. The result will provide more equitable living and communal space in our cultural and interest houses and refurbish the college's older houses.
| |
More space for Student Health and Counseling
One important early step in the new housing plan will be the creation of a new dedicated space for Student Health and Counseling (SHAC). SHAC is currently located in Davis Hall, an area designed for student housing; the new SHAC facility will be developed to meet students' evolving physical and mental health needs.

The newest (and smallest) building on campus
A Little Free Library in the shape of Scoville Hall was crafted by Cliff Clark, emeritus professor of history, to complement Carleton's Story Core project for President Byerly's inauguration. And just like Nutting House, the new mini-Scoville looks good with holiday lights.

Alumni affinity groups
Affinity groups are a great way to connect with other alumni who share your interests and experiences.
The Multicultural Alumni Network (MCAN) supports alumni efforts on behalf of students and alumni who identify as persons of color. The purpose of MCAN is to broaden and support the college's overall educational, admissions, career, and fundraising programs, particularly as these programs relate to the enrichment of its students and alumni of color. Allies to these endeavors are welcomed. For more info, check out the MCAN fall newsletter.

Out After Carleton (OAC) exists to mobilize Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Asexual and Allied (LGBTQA+) alumni, students, and friends of the college as a community to support Carleton's overall educational, admission, careers, and fundraising programs and objectives, especially as they relate to and affect LGBTQA+ students, alumni, faculty, staff, and allied friends of the college.
