Greetings,
I hope your winter has been well.
At Hofstra, we welcome the opportunity to connect students to experiences that align with what they learn in the classroom. This month, students and faculty traveled to Albany as part of Student Advocacy Day to meet with state officials and share their voice on the need to continue investing in higher education.
Representing Hofstra were students from The Peter S. Kalikow School of Government, Public Policy and International Affairs, The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication, New Opportunities at Hofstra (NOAH), the Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP), and the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (C-STEP). Students advocated for increased student aid, engaged in the legislative process and gained firsthand insight into state policy decisions.
We extend gratitude to our legislative partners for their collective commitment to strengthening the academic foundation in New York State. You can learn more about the trip here.
Thank you for your continued support of Hofstra University.
Sincerely,
Susan Poser
President, Hofstra University
