Coping with Business Interruptions
In the aftermath of unexpected and tragic events, businesses must find a way to document their losses as part of a plan to move forward. Days before Memorial Day, a recently renovated hotel in Newport, RI was wrecked in a fire, ending their summer season before it began. In Buffalo, NY, the Tops Friendly Market was the scene of a horrific domestic terrorist attack on customers two weeks ago. When, or if, the neighborhood’s sole grocery store will reopen has not been determined yet.

Class Actions: More Than Just Food Fights
The class actions that garner attention often involve disputes about food. After a suit against Burger King over discrepancies in burger size was filed in March, additional cases were brought against McDonald’s and Wendy’s. Photographic evidence has been submitted. Class actions address more serious purposes, as well. For example, Amazon was sued recently for allegedly not paying workers who take military leave.
If you are involved in a class action, Asterion can assist in modeling or evaluating damage models.
