Veterinary Day on the Hill a Success
What a great day we had at Legislative Plaza!  On Wednesday, several TVMA members gathered at Legislative Plaza to meet our Legislators and talk about issues affecting the veterinary profession and animal welfare.  Participating in Veterinary Day were Dr. Mary Ergen, Dr. Susan Moon, Dr. Mandy Willis, Dr. Midge Phillips, Dr. Eva Evans, Dr. Maben Thompson, Dr. Randy Hammon, Dr. Allan Holladay, Dr. Joe Ed Conn, Dr. Bryan Bondurant, Dr. Julie Buford, Dr. Bo Crabtree, Dr. Jim Thompson, Meagan Frazier, Lou Alsobrooks, and Deloris Green Gaines. If you didn't have a chance to participate this year, we encourage you to consider it for next year.  It's a memorable experience--interesting, fun and beneficial to the veterinary profession and animal welfare.
Presentation on Veterinary Feed Directives to House Agriculture and Resources Committee

Survey on Wellness Issues Still Open
Veterinarians are at increased risk for suicide, and very little is known about the risk in other veterinary professionals.  TVMA, Auburn University and the University of Georgia are working together to survey of veterinary professionals in our state to determine which intervention and prevention efforts might be most helpful.  We invite you to take a brief and anonymous survey.  Read more...
