Summer Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteer at The Branch on July 11 |
Nashville's Antioch neighborhood is home to more than 20 language communities — and The Branch of Nashville has made it their mission to ensure that no one flourishes alone. Through their food pantry, ESL classes, career mentoring, and neighbor support programs, The Branch serves nearly 5,000 people every month, putting Galatians 3:28 into practice in one of our city's most beautifully diverse corners.
Our next volunteer opportunity at The Branch is Saturday, July 11. Come help sort, stock, pack food boxes and distribute them to families in The Branch of Nashville's food distribution center. Click here to sign up now.

As announced last week, Alysha Moroni will take on the new role of Director of Family Formation here at St. B's.
As a part of this change, Rev. Heather will now be heading up our Young Adult Formation opportunities. In reflecting on the opportunity she says, "When Fr. Josh first brought the idea of overseeing Young Adult ministry here at St. B.’s to me, I was immediately intrigued and delighted. I have spent the last two decades working with young adults in university and parish settings, and walking alongside folks in this age group is a deep passion of mine. I am looking forward to building on the incredible work that Alysha has done with this community."

| Mondays at 6:00 p.m. in the Nave |
All are invited to join with other St. B's folks for Centering Prayer on Monday nights at 6:00 p.m. Centering Prayer is a receptive method of Christian silent prayer which deepens our relationship with God. In addition to the time of Centering Prayer, the group does a brief Lectio practice on the week's lectionary passages in preparation for worship on Sundays. For more information, contact Rev. Heather.

Almighty God, you have blessed us with the joy and care of children: Give us calm strength and patient wisdom as we bring them up, that we may teach them to love whatever is just and true and good, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ.
