You are invited to join us for the School of Engineering Dean's Lecture with Eduardo Hochschild, E87, Chairman of Hochschild Mining.
This esteemed School of Engineering alumnus will discuss engineering the cleanest mines possible, community responsibility and the role we all play in creating a Brighter World. Hochschild will also touch on how his time at Tufts prepared him for his career. The lecture will take place on Friday, February 24 at 1:30 p.m. ET in Joyce Cummings Center, Room 160, with a reception to follow.

About the speaker
Eduardo Hochschild graduated from Tufts University in 1987 with a BS in Engineering Physics. After graduating from Tufts, he joined the Hochschild Mining Group, a Peru-based mining and industrial group, as a safety assistant in the Arcata unit. In 2006, he was appointed Chairman of Hochschild Mining. With over 30 years’ involvement with the Hochschild Group and roughly 50% interest, Hochschild is currently the majority shareholder of the company. He is also the chairman of several other organizations including the University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC) in Peru, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lima, and Peruvian cement company Cementos Pacasmayo.
