On the first Tuesday of each month the parent program hosts a monthly prayer Zoom for our Lipscomb families. You are invited to join us Feb. 3 as we get to know other parents, share prayer requests and praises.
Each month, a guest speaker who is a faculty member, local minister or parent, will facilitate our time together. This month, Jose Brown will join our Zoom. Jose serves Lipscomb University as the High Rise head resident. He is passionate about focusing on holistic development and relationship-based mentorship with our students.
The Zoom begins at 10:55 a.m. CT. This is the same time that our students will be in “The Gathering” which is our large group chapel. What a beautiful thing it is to take a break in the day to worship and pray together. Feel free to join us on screen or by voice—we understand you may be working!
The January parent prayer Zoom is on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at

Save the Date: February 26, 2026

The Lipscomb community will come together Feb. 26 to celebrate the university we love during our 8th annual Giving Day. With the theme One Goal, One Day, One Herd, this day is a special opportunity to unite in support of current and future Bisons.
What’s your passion? A variety of funds exist to benefit individuals, places and programs at Lipscomb University. All fill vital needs and strengthen the university now and well into the years ahead.
If you are not sure where to give, consider giving to the Parent Impact Fund. The Parent Impact Fund provides immediate resources that directly benefit students, including academic support, emergency assistance, financial aid, mental health services and enhanced campus experiences.
Every contribution—no matter the size—adds up to make a lasting investment in your student’s future.

FINANCIAL AID

While we celebrate a new year, we are already thinking ahead to the new academic year! The 2026-2027 FAFSA is now available for students and families to apply for financial aid. The Financial Aid Office will begin packaging for the fall term in February.
Students are required to complete the FAFSA to be considered for state, federal and institutional aid, as well as some scholarships at Lipscomb. It is important to file the FAFSA as early as possible as there are some state grants that are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
As you may recall, you must give consent for the IRS to automatically transfer your tax information to the FAFSA. If you do not, your child may not qualify for federal aid. The parent who provided the most financial support during the past year, even if divorced or separated, is the one whose information is typically used on the form.
Please contact the Financial Aid Office at financialaid@lipscomb.edu if you have any questions about filing the FAFSA.

OFFICE OF STUDENT LIFE

Fanscan student rewards graphic
FanScan student rewards program launches this spring
At every home men's basketball game for the remainder of the season, Lipscomb students can have their ID cards scanned at the entrance to Allen Arena to earn rewards throughout the season.
Here's how it works:
When students get to Allen Arena for a Bisons home game, head to the far right door at the front entrance marked for students. Head inside, get their ID scanned by the staff member at the door, and head to Section 116 to cheer with the Lunatics! That's all it takes to win. Our new software will keep track of students' points for them, and the leading point scorers will be emailed out weekly.
Students earn 100 points for every game they attend, and 50 bonus points when the Bisons win! There will also be special bonuses unique to each game to be announced the morning of each game.
By racking up points, students have the chance to redeem them for awesome prizes, including In-game experiences, free food, and exclusive merch.
