Stassun, Stevenson Professor of Astrophysics and the Director of the Frist Center for Autism & Innovation, Vanderbilt University.

Traveling internationally over the summer?

Export control regulations are frequently changing and may apply to your planned international activities. Please e-mail the Office of Research Compliance and Integrity at least 30 days (if possible) prior to departure if you will be traveling internationally on behalf of GVSU and/or taking any GVSU equipment, such as a GVSU laptop. ORCI staff will review your planned activities and alert you of any potential export control concerns/restrictions..

Compliance Corner

Q: My student and I received requested revisions on our IRB protocol, but I am receiving an error message when I click on the link to the submission form in the email. Why?

A: The individual who originally initiated the form (in this case, the student) is the "owner," and they must provide you access. Ask your student to use the blue "Collaborators" button on the top of any page and add you as a Collaborator with "edit, manage, and submit" rights. This will allow you to edit and resubmit the form to the IRB.

New NIH requirement for subawards

The National Institutes for Health just announced that, effective June 1, NIH awardees will need to seek prior approval from the NIH for any new subawards added to a project post-award. OSP will navigate this new process for your projects, if this applies to you.
