Dear Colleagues,
Happy voting day! I know this time can bring up a lot of emotions for our community, including our staff. Please be sure to take care of yourself, and each other, as we collectively navigate the days ahead. This morning, I shared this message with students, outlining important last-minute reminders for today, as well as resources offered by our Division, and upcoming opportunities for programming and events. It also reiterates the importance of us working together as one WashU, regardless of differences. This is why our Dialogue Across Difference initiative is so important, and why it is equally important for our staff to engage in dialogues across difference, too.
This is also a time of great celebration as yesterday marked the beginning of First-Gen Week! The Taylor Family Center for Student Success has done an excellent job planning activities taking place this week. Please see here and be sure to celebrate all members of our first-generation community.
Finally, I will not be able to attend our monthly Divisional meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 20, due to travel. I would like to offer a time of connection with me this Thursday, November 7, in DUC 200 from 4-5:30 p.m. No RSVP is required, simply stop in at my office and say hello. I look forward to connecting.
Warmly,
|
Anna "Dr. G" Gonzalez
Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs

New name for Student Health Center, formerly Habif Health & Wellness Center |
This fall, the department formerly known as the Habif Health & Wellness Center was renamed and is now known as the Student Health Center - Danforth Campus. Habif Medical Services, as part of the Student Health Center, is the primary care provider for full-time WashU students. Renaming this department more accurately captures the breadth of the services provided, which span primary care, emergency services and psychiatry, to name a few.
