SOUL Application Information

Have you considered the SOUL position yet? SOULs are informed, resourceful guides who lead new students and their families through the orientation process.
SOUL applications remain available through the final application deadline on January 9. However, you may choose to submit your application by our priority deadline on November 28 so that you know if you will move on to the first round of interviews by the end of finals week.

Information Sessions

Thank you to everyone who has already joined us for an info session! If you haven’t been able to join us yet, no worries - we have two info sessions left!

  • Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 5:30 pm in Benton Hall, room 115
We hope to see you at an upcoming info session, and we encourage you to bring friends! Information sessions are a space for you to learn more about what it means to be a SOUL, how the application process works, and to meet members of the Orientation and Transition Programs team, including 2021 SOULs.

SOUL Spotlight

In upcoming SOUL Search emails and on Instagram (@SOULsMiamiOH), we will be featuring 2020 and 2021 SOULs to provide advice and additional insight into the SOUL position and application process. 
Malcolm King (he/him) is a Mechanical Engineering and Music double major from West Chester, OH. Malcolm was a 2020 SOUL. On campus, he is involved in Open Fifth a capella, the Miami University Glee Club, the National Society of Black Engineers, and the professional engineering fraternity Theta Tau. His biggest advice to someone considering applying to be a SOUL is, “Be yourself and take a chance.”
