Virtual Recruiting
Tufts University will be hosting several industry-themed fairs where each event will highlight an industry sector. We have also committed to host one general career fair during the fall for our employers that are not represented by one of our industry-themed events.

Tufts University will be limiting the employer capacity to each fair to 50 employers, so we urge employers to register early if you are interested in attending one or more of the following events.

There will be no on-campus/in-person recruiting events happening at Tufts University for the Fall 2020 semester; all engagement will be virtual.

Fall Virtual Industry Fairs
Please note:
  • The Consulting Networking Night will operate differently than the other Virtual Industry Fairs; please email Jon Sanford, Assistant Director for more information and to register.
  • There is no difference between Engineering and Technology Days 1 and 2; we are solely offering two days to accommodate all employers.
  • All students from all majors will be invited to each fair.
  • When deciding what fair(s) are right for you, consider what type of position you are recruiting for and what student demographic you are trying to attract. Please feel free to reach out to Misha D'Andrea, Recruiting Coordinator, with any questions you may have!
Handshake Hot Tip
As we all know, this upcoming recruitment season is going to look vastly different from years past. As both schools and organizations are moving to either a mostly or completely virtual recruiting strategy, make sure you are taking advantage of this new landscape.

Diversity & Inclusion at Tufts
On June 19th, the Tufts community gathered to celebrate Juneteenth in order to explore structural racism and to discuss how Tufts can be a more equitable and anti-racist institution
Action Plan
  1. Institutional Audit and Targeted Action: To remove all structural racism from our university, identify how it can be embedded at all levels and build upon and learn from the anti-racism work being done across departments.
  2. Campus Policing Initiative: This initiative will benchmark best practices of how other universities manage policing on their campuses and ask critical questions about the power dynamics of policing at Tufts.
  3. Public Art Initiative:  This initiative will focus on the public art located around campus as well as determining the images and historical identities that will be reflected across campuses.
  4. Compositional Diversity: This group will be charged with making specific recommendations on how to recruit and retain a more representative university community.
  5. Equity & Inclusion Effort: This effort will look at academic support services and new education and training programs that can help ensure that issues of equity and inclusion are addressed in Tufts classrooms and throughout the Tufts community at large.
Division of Student Diversity & Inclusion (DSDI)
Tufts University recently announced a new Division of Student Diversity and Inclusion (DSDI) that will work to reimagine Tufts work in equity, justice, diversity, and inclusion on campus.
This change signifies the importance of the work occurring across the Africana, Asian American, FIRST, Latino, LGBT, and Women’s Centers as well as highlights the expertise this group has with diversity, equity, and inclusion.
With the University’s recommitment to anti-racist work and uplifting the importance of equity and justice, the DSDI will continue to work towards supporting efforts that affect students served by these centers.
