Laudato Si’ is now 5-years old and has captured the imagination of people worldwide. Pope Francis continues to raise awareness of the need to take care of this Common Home. Laudato Si’ came at a crucial time when the nations of the world were negotiating the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. It is a great inspiration to policy makers and people of all faith, and is increasingly shaping public policy and public discourse. As biodiversity loss and climate change loom in the midst of the devastating Covid-19 pandemic, this symposium looks to Laudato Si’ to understand how interfaith, inter-generational dialogue and fraternal unity continue to be key for the care of the Common Home.
