This annual tradition honors five exceptional alumni whose professional achievements and service exemplify the spirit of UNF.
The evening will feature a nestalgia-inspired journey through the decades of Osprey pride, elevated hors d’oeuvres and curated cocktails and opportunities to connect with fellow alumni, faculty, staff and friends.

The APPE Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl is a unique, collaborative experience for undergraduate students that provides valuable educational experience in practical and professional ethics. Teams spend hours analyzing and preparing for regional and national competitions to see who has thought most deeply and presented their arguments most clearly on cases based on today's most pressing issues. The team will need approximately 60 community volunteers as judges.

Recent UNF Grad Manages Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit |
Lawrence Mack ’25, who graduated from UNF in early August with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, is helping revolutionize emergency stroke care in Jacksonville as a program manager of the city’s first Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit.
One of only three such programs in Florida, and the only one operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the high-tech unit is equipped to deliver stroke diagnosis and lifesaving care before a patient even reaches the hospital. Learn more.

| UNF receives $1 million gift for environmental science and research |
The University of North Florida received a gift of more than $1 million to support its Institute of Environmental Research and Education (IERE).
The gift will provide scholarship funding for students pursuing a degree in environmental sciences and increase financial support to IERE to enhance programming. Learn more.

Allen Lastinger Center for Florida History opens at UNF |
The University of North Florida opened the new Allen Lastinger Center for Florida History on Sept. 5.
The resource, located on the second floor of the Thomas G. Carpenter Library, was made possible by a gift of $3.5 million from philanthropists Allen and Delores Lastinger, advocates for education, culture and community engagement across Florida. Learn more.

The University of North Florida kicked off the 2025-26 academic year with a vibrant and inspiring Convocation ceremony that celebrated the theme of “Together Everyone Achieves More,” with a focus on the University’s commitment to teamwork, student and faculty success and community partnerships.
