Assistant Professor of Parks and Recreation – Arizona State University
The School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University is conducting a search for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Parks and Recreation. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, academic-year (9-month) faculty position that will begin in August 2025. We are open to all broadly defined parks and recreation related fields, including but not limited to, the following areas: recreation, natural resources, geography, sustainability, planning, health and well-being, forestry, and environmental studies. Temporary Outdoor Education Instructor – Reidsville, NC
NC State University’s Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center is seeking Outdoor Education Instructors for our fall program season beginning August 19, 2024 and ending November 22, 2024.
The Penn 4-H Center provides day and overnight programs to elementary, middle, and high school students on our 220 acres in Reidsville, NC. Program staff Provide instruction for nearly 20 programs in environmental science and cultural history to elementary school students in the Environmental Education Program. Topics include aquatic ecology, forest measurements, predator/prey relationships, wildlife habitats, pioneer living history, canoeing and much more. Staff also facilitate team challenges and Low and High Ropes course elements with students in the Soaring Thru Spaces program. A 2 week paid staff training is provided at the beginning of the season (tentatively Aug 19- 30) and as part of that there will also be a 3 day high ropes course training provided that staff are required to attend. We work hard to keep NC State affordable by offering scholarships to incoming students with academic merit or financial needs. Each year, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management awards multiple academic scholarships to prospective freshmen, current NC State student and off-campus transfer students. These scholarships are funded through donations from alumni and friends, as well as the timber sale receipts on Natural Resources Foundation properties. Temp Project Youth Extension Service Staff Intern
Project YES interns provide youth development programs for children and youth of military families throughout the United States and US territories. Programs may be delivered during Yellow Ribbon events (any phase) and other youth centric activities, i.e. councils, leadership summits, family days, camps, etc. Staff interns are not required to be North Carolina State University students. Interns remain at their home university and will travel to event sites to facilitate Project YES programs. Project YES provides high level education in leadership development, facilitation skills, youth development and age-appropriate curriculum.

Temporary Youth Mental Health and Well Being Intern – 4-H Camp
The purpose of this internship is to increase awareness and access to mental health and healthy relationship resources among youth aged 8 to 14 who attend Millstone camp as well as among camp staff and counselors. The intern will work with a faculty member at NCSU department of Agricultural Human Sciences to design a week-long program involving brief group interactions with campers addressing mental health and healthy relationships. Additionally, the professional will also work with youth who are in behavioral distress or require mental health assistance, and with pairs or groups of youth who experience interpersonal conflict with other campers.

Statewide Recreation Planning Coordinator – Utah
This full-time position in the Division of Outdoor Recreation (DOR), within the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), reports to the Trails and Planning Program Director. The role supports the Outdoor Recreation Planning Assistance (ORPA) program, which provides funding and technical assistance for planning, feasibility studies, and NEPA elements to enhance outdoor recreation opportunities, particularly in rural communities. The NC State Athletics Ticket Office is a division of the Athletic Department at NC State University and is responsible for all ticket operations at sporting events hosted by NC State Athletics. Ticket operations include the following sports: football, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, wrestling, and gymnastics. Ticket Office employees will be responsible for providing assistance to the ticket office and its customers on game days.
