Do You Own A Boarded Up Building In Cincinnati?

If you or a friend owns a building with boarded doors and/or windows, consider Keep Cincinnati Beautiful’s grant-funded Future Blooms program!  Our artists enhance the already-boarded properties by painting doors, windows and flower boxes on the barricaded parts of the buildings to make them appear new, as seen pictured.
We need your permission to begin enhancements. Remember, this grant-funded project is AT NO COST TO YOU and you will never be charged for the work. You can call, mail or email the signed permission form to Keep Cincinnati Beautiful. We hope you'll consider the amount of good this project can do for you and your neighbors!
Fill out the Building Permission Form here!

Volunteer Events: CERVIS

We’re working on integrating a new volunteer registration software called “CERVIS” which will help provide a more streamlined way of volunteering with KCB! If you have volunteered with us in the past and receive an email from CERVIS via KCB, we’re just working on putting previous volunteers into the system. You can "pre-register" with us to make signing up for future events easier. We appreciate your patience as we work on rolling this out for 2020!

Staff Spotlight:

Introducing:

Keely Brown

Do you ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at Keep Cincinnati Beautiful? Do you ever think about the amazing people that make our non-profit successful in its mission? That’s why we’re starting Staff Spotlight -- an interview series where you can learn more about our awesome team members, board members, and volunteers here at Keep Cincinnati Beautiful.

This month, we sat down with our new Scripps Howard Communication Intern, Keely Brown, to get to know a little more about her.
Where are you from originally? How’d you end up in Cincinnati?
I’m originally from Philadelphia, but I moved to Cincinnati for school. I’m a fourth-year Communication and Journalism student at the University of Cincinnati, and I hopefully (fingers crossed) will graduate this spring.

What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I broke my chin open twice as a kid. The first time it happened I got stitches, which (obviously) did not work out. The second time, doctors super-glued my chin back together, and I haven’t had a problem since!

What do you like to do in your free time?
When I’m not studying or working, I’m a couch potato. Since I don’t have a lot of down time, I love to watch movies with friends or curl up with a good book when I have the chance.

Where’s your favorite place to eat in Cincinnati?
I love Hangover Easy. Breakfast is served all day, the food is delicious, and the mimosas aren’t too bad either. Plus, as a college student, it’s easy on my wallet and my bank account doesn’t hate me afterward.

What’s your favorite part about working here?
Although I just started at Keep Cincinnati Beautiful this month, I’m beyond excited to start. Everyone here is extremely dedicated, passionate, and great to work with. I can’t wait to see what I’ll do while I’m here!
