We are rain or shine every Saturday 9a-1p & Sunday 10a-2p!
We hope you're all staying cool this week! It is HOT and our thoughts are with our amazing farmers as they continue working hard to bring us fresh, delicious fruits and veggies each week. Fortunately, they're bringing lots of juicy melons to cool down with! While watermelons are often the star of the show, you'll find a variety of different types of melon at the market. VRDNT Farm has been bringing variteies including King Show, Diplomat, Torpedo, Honey Blonde, Sugar Cube, and more - you can read more about all of their different melons on their blog. Jamey from B5 Farm told us he has LOTS of melons growing right now, so keep an eye out at his booth in the coming weeks. And, Bouldin Food Forest has been bringing a delicious yellow watermelon that market chef Julia used in her samples last Sunday (read on for the recipe).
We'll see you this weekend at Bell and Mueller for melons and more fresh fruits and veggies, humanely raised meats, cheese, bread, honey, and so much more! Be sure to give your farmer and extra thank you for their hard work in this heat.

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: TEXAS FRENCH BREAD

This vendor might sound familiar - Texas French Bread is a family-owned business that has been both a TFM and Austin staple for years. Since 1981, Texas French Bread has made freshly-baked artisan breads, pastries, and desserts from scratch. All of TFB’s baked goods are made with organic wheat flour, and they source heirloom wheat that is locally grown here in Texas and milled by old world techniques on giant stone wheels at Barton Springs Mill. They supplement these products with other organic flours from around the country.

In 2022, Texas French Bread's brick and mortar location near West Campus suffered a devastating loss due to a mechanical fire. Despite this loss, Texas French Bread has continued to provide the community with their high quality products through their presence at Texas Farmers' Market and their food truck located in their garden. They announced earlier this summer that construction will be starting for their reopening, anticipated for summer of 2025!

Come see Texas French Bread at the market and continue to support this beloved community staple.
