We are excited about what 2019 has to offer:

Over the past few years, we have experienced combined growth in our LSU Sport Management program – both on-campus and online. We are currently accepting students for the Summer and Fall of 2019. If you know individuals interested in a master’s degree from LSU and in Sport Management, encourage them to contact Dr. Mike Martinez, Director of Online Programs for Kinesiology at jmmartinez@lsu.edu or Dr. Chad Seifried at cseifried@lsu.edu for the on-campus opportunity.

As always, please provide us an update regarding your current employment situation, change in contact information and forward this newsletter to others you were classmates with if possible.

Your updated information can be sent to Dr. Chad Seifried at cseifried@lsu.edu.

Finally, if there is anything you would like to see in future issues, please let us know!

Amanda is currently in her first year of the LSU Sport Management program. She is originally from the West Coast and grew up in West Covina, CA. She attended the University of Missouri where she received her bachelor’s degree in business. Also while at the University of Missouri, Amanda put up some impressive stats as a member of the Softball team. As a graduate transfer, Amanda now competes on the LSU softball team and plans to graduate with her master’s in spring 2020. Upon completing her playing career, she hopes to use the skills and knowledge she learned as a player and student in aspirations for a career in coaching at the collegiate level.

“The LSU Sport Management program has really taught me a lot of vital skills that I plan to utilize in my future career path.”

LSU Online Sport Management graduate student Loryn Smith

LSU Sport Management Alum Rick Lefebvre

Rick Lefebvre

Before becoming a graduate of LSU’s sport management program in 2017, Rick Lefebvre began his strength and conditioning career at UTEP in 2004. After three years, he transitioned to North Texas and oversaw the same teams in addition to women’s soccer and women’s golf until 2011. The Milwaukee native returned to his home state to become the head strength and conditioning coach at Wisconsin-Green Bay before heading south to lead the strength and conditioning efforts for FC Dallas in 2012.
Lefebvre came to LSU as the head strength coach for men’s basketball in 2012 and also worked with men’s golf and women’s tennis. After earning his master’s degree, he arrived back at North Texas to become the first full-time strength and conditioning coach for women’s basketball. Lefebvre also spent time with UNT men’s golf, women’s golf, women’s tennis, and also taught in the kinesiology department as an adjunct professor. Throughout his career, Lefebvre has been very fortunate to work with several world-class athletes.

LSU Online Sport Management alum Robby Snelling

Robby Snelling

Originally from Burney, CA, Robby attended Butte Community College and Boise State University while playing football at both institutions.  At Boise State, he was selected to the Big West All-Academic teams both seasons and made the Dean’s List multiple semesters.  He was also nominated for the Golden Key National Honor Society and All-American Scholar Collegiate Award during his time there.  Following graduation, he pursued a brief career in the NFL and NFL Europe.  He then began his coaching career at Butte College.
