Tips for Grads

The first "question" of almost every interview is the same: “So, tell me about yourself.” Now what? Do you speed through your resume? Do you tell them about one your niche interests? Do you talk about your career goals? The short answer: no.
Instead, The Muse suggests trying the Present-Past-Future formula when this pops up:
  • Talk about what you’re doing right now – what you study, where you work.
  • Segue into the past – what experiences you’ve had and which skills you gained (but keep it short and relevant!)
  • Finish with the future – why you’re excited about the opportunity that you’re interviewing for.
Check out this video to get a sense of what that might sound like.
