PREMED PODCASTS
5 Podcasts for Premeds
Are you or someone you know always listening to podcasts? Podcasts are everywhere and their popularity is increasing, so it's not surprising there are now a host of podcasts about medicine and medical education. If you haven't jumped on the podcast bandwagon just yet, we've narrowed down the list to five podcasts about the application process and what it means to be in medical school that we think you'll enjoy, with perspectives from medical students, residents, and faculty.
SUMMER INTERNSHIP
Summer Research position in the Neuroscience Department at the Tufts School of Medicine investigating Alzheimer’s Disease.
The position would ideally start in late spring for training, then fully start in the summer, and any student/recent grad could possibly also stay on during the academic year as well.

Students will learn extensive/participate in extensive basic science research, and work both in vitro and in vivo techniques, and also work under our great PI, Dr. Giuseppina Tesco as well an amazing group of Postdocs.  Learn more here.

Anyone interested can email Shudee Wu (Tufts University 2018, BS Biology), who is leaving to begin medical school this summer and who currently works there and sent the position.

JOB/POSTGRAD OPPORTUNITY

II.
Research Associates for Yale University School of Medicine Professor

Louis, a professor at Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Neurology, is interested in hiring two full-time paid research associates (RAs) who will be involved either the Risk Factors Underlying Essential Tremor (RULET) Study or the Family Study of Essential Tremor (FASET). These studies are attempting to uncover the causes for two of the most common neurological disorders—essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease. The RAs will travel within the US to conduct in-person visits, which include phlebotomy and videotaped neurological examinations. The RAs will learn about aspects of clinical research from study design to data collection and publication, how to recognize a range of involuntary movements, and are strongly encouraged to conduct independent research. B.A./B.S. degree, driver’s license, and interest in learning phlebotomy required. Start date June 1st, earlier preferred if possible.
If interested, please send a cover letter and resume to Ruby Hickman.
