Creative energy is always admired in UNF alumni. Sarah Roberts has found a way to share her creativity on and off campus as an alumna. Roberts works as a development assistant for UNF's Development and Alumni Engagement Department. She graduated with two degrees in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on ceramic art therapy.
On the weekends, Roberts sells ceramics and recently had a custom dish featured at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island. Her time spent in the ceramics guild as a student was one of her many creative outlets. While obtaining her degree, Roberts gained valuable experience on campus as an orientation leader.
"All of my favorite memories come from my time as an orientation leader," Roberts shares. "I highly recommend current students apply for that position! One specific memory that stands out was during training for orientation. All of the leaders get together and do the ropes course for team building. I had just broken my foot the week before, which made this very difficult! My friend Kaila Lopez and my boss Kate Ryan helped carry me through the woods to the ropes course because my scooter couldn't go over the dirt! We were laughing the whole way through. That really is the essence of UNF, coming together to (literally) lift each other up."
We can't wait to see Roberts' career at UNF continue to grow. We are so proud to have her as an alumna and to have her creative spirit back on campus.
