Transfer BFA and all Combined Degree students! Please note that we have adjusted the date for you to select your SMFA Meal Plan. This item is now due on August 23 (it was previously due August 30). Make sure you now complete this item on your New Student Checklist 2019 by August 23 to have your Meal Plan applied to your Tufts student ID card for Fall 2019! (As a reminder, First-year BFA students are automatically enrolled in SMFA Plan A, so they do not need to select an SMFA Meal Plan.)

Design Thinking for Career Exploration: Creative Strategies for First-Years

With lots of amazing courses, co-curricular activities, and more ahead of you at Tufts, this course teaches you to harness the creative power of design thinking to explore college and life experiences that are meaningful to you. An emphasis on how to build the core competencies and career readiness that employers are looking for will also be included in this course. Through fun and engaging activities, field-based experiences,as well as alumni, student and employer guest speakers, you'll learn to use design thinking to get a jump on the career exploration process. Let’s ideate, prototype and test together!

How Do I Connect with the Career Center?

The Career Center is located in Dowling Hall, room 740. SMFA students also have Career Center staff on-site at 230 The Fenway on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Drop in for 15 minutes during posted hours in Dowling Hall, the Tisch Fitness Center, Tisch Library, various Engineering Buildings, and the SMFA at Tufts. No appointment necessary!

You'll need to use a system called TuftsTickets to sign up for one of three academic sessions during Orientation. Registration for these sessions will open during Orientation week, and we'll remind you then to sign up. But we encourage you to get a head start now by setting up your TuftsTickets account, which you'll use throughout your time at Tufts to sign up for all kinds of events!

Go to www.tuftstickets.com.
Select "Log In / Register" on the top right-hand corner of your browser.
Select "Students / Faculty / Staff" in the drop-down menu.
Use your Tufts UTLN and password to login.
Create Your Profile using your Tufts email and cell phone number.
