Women Who Love YL went to Mexico! In March, we visited local ministries in Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende on what we call Vision Trips. We were led by local staff and volunteer leaders on prayer walks around their campuses, in their neighborhoods, and even spent a day at outreach camp! Our time was spent getting to know one another and the YL community there, hearing stories, and experiencing Mexican culture together. As part of all Vision Trips, we had the chance to do a giving circle to bless our wonderful hosts and their ministries. Both our group and their team felt in awe of all that the Lord had done.

Jesslyn Ponce-Dick was first introduced to Young Life nine years ago at a Chamber of Commerce event where the local staff were sharing about YL. She was inspired by the relational and beautiful way teens met Jesus through Young Life volunteers. Jesslyn now serves on two San Diego YL committees and is a volunteer leader. She is a part of camp fundraisers, golf tournaments, galas, and most recently, giving circles.
Over this last year, three different giving circles have happened as part of her leadership, engaging over 80 women in YL. This last month, Jesslyn invited men and women to participate in one where they collectively gave $6,200 to bless kids in need of camp scholarships. When asked about the impact of giving circles, Jesslyn said, "It is a great way to empower mission partners and has allowed me to use my God given gift and passion of connecting people while sharing that all ages can have an impact on the next generation of Jesus followers."
Married for 37 years, she and her husband Bill have 3 adult children. They enjoy going to Baja to build houses with Amor ministries and serving YL College students. This summer Jesslyn will take high school girls to camp and will serve as an Adult Guest host. What an incredible gift she is to YL and to us all!
