Aloha Goldfish Families,
As parents, we know first-hand how difficult the last few weeks have been. This is a challenging time with so many unknowns. And especially for our children – how do we explain why there’s no school, no friends allowed over, no trips to the ice cream shop, and no swim lessons? We know we can’t help make sense of all of this, but we do want to do our part to help provide some “normalcy” during this time.
Before our closure, so many little fish were making big waves in the pool! They were facing fears, setting new goals and learning how to be safer in and around the water. While lessons are on pause, we want to make sure that our Goldfish swimmers can continue to see extraordinary results and not lose momentum on the progress they’ve been making, and help our entire community prepare for the upcoming summer months.
As part of our commitment to water safety, we are so proud to introduce Goldfish at Home, a video series that takes our in-water lessons onto dry land! These videos help engage muscle memory and build on the swim skills taught every week at our pool. Our virtual lessons will also continue to incorporate our Celebration Themes, so that your child can focus on the fun while we focus on some serious learning!
To access Goldfish at Home, log in to your Parent Portal account, visit the ‘Announcements’ page, and choose the Goldfish Level that matches your child’s age & progress. If you do not have a Parent Portal account, click ‘Create an Account’ and follow the prompts to join the Goldfish Community. Please note, Goldfish at Home is part of our commitment to water safety and is available to our entire community – membership is not required, and payment information will not be requested to access the videos.
Just like in class, we love to see the progress our swimmers are making, and want to see how much your little Goldfish is learning while having fun at home! Tag us in your pictures and videos on social media using #GoldfishAtHome - we’ll be waiting with a virtual high five, and maybe even some Goldfish Swag!
With summer around the corner, we know how important it is to you that your child knows critical water safety skills. We started Goldfish Swim School with the mission to help keep all children safer in and around the water. And whether it is in the pool, at a community water safety presentation, or in your living room via Goldfish at Home, we remain 100% committed to that mission.
