Announcement: Marketing Excellence Awards


Dear San Antonio Marketing Community,

I write to you today on behalf of the American Marketing Association (AMA) San Antonio Chapter’s Board of Directors. Like many of you, we are grappling with the uncertainty brought on by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
In the best interest of our members, volunteers, and guests, the Board decided to postpone in-person events throughout the months of March and April. While the future is still somewhat unclear after April, it is clear that you likely have many competing priorities. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the AMA’s annual Marketing Excellence Awards (MEA’s) Call for Entries and the MEA’s Ceremony, which normally takes place in June. The new date of the event will be Thursday, September 24.
As the essential community of marketers, it is our pleasure to host this awards ceremony each year. However, we realize that 2020 will be a bit different. As marketers and master communicators, we know that you are essential in times of crisis. By postponing the MEA’s Ceremony, this allows everyone more time to settle into the new normal and readjust priorities.

While you work tirelessly to do what needs to be done. We will work tirelessly to reimagine an even bigger and better celebration for our San Antonio marketing community. We fully anticipate that even more marketing successes will be born during this trying time, and we look forward to celebrating all of your achievements once this cloud has lifted.
