Reed Birney and Karen Allen star in Lunar Eclipse, which opens Friday and runs through October 22. Lunar Eclipse is a new work by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies (Dinner with Friends, Time Stands Still, Collected Stories), making its world premiere at Shakespeare & Company. Celebrate the life of Cuban singer Celia Cruz with Me Llamo Celia: La Vida De Celia Cruz by Monica Brown & Rafael López. This bilingual book allows young readers to delve into her life as she becomes a recognized singer in her homeland, then moves to New York City and Miami, where she and others create a new kind of music called salsa. Concert at the Clark

Head to the Clark for an intimate concert featuring multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter (and Massachusetts native) Brittany Tsewole and her compelling project, Senseless Optimism. Tsewole's unique perspective and evocative lyricism are sure to delight! She is joined by improviser and songwriter Wendy Eisenberg, whose work spans multiple genres. More info

Three days of fun are coming right up with the Lee Founders Weekend! Taste of Lee, a parade, fireworks, live music, a cooking contest (Best Sausage in Lee!), classic cars, magic clowns, a street magician, balloon rides, raffles, food, bouncy houses, a cemetery tour, Festival Latino, tennis clinics, and much, much more will be on hand! There will be a Lee Skate Park Competition on Saturday, September 16, at noon, with one-minute runs for all skill levels and all wheels (skateboard, scooter, BMX, rollerskates and rollerblades). And just one town over, don't miss the Lenox Jazz Stroll on Friday and Saturday, September 15 and 16! More info

For the 10th anniversary of The Berkshire 25, a special reception will be held at The Colonial Theatre with live music, an awards ceremony, and some very special guests. Berkshire Magazine contributing writer Kateri Kosek will read from her recently released American Eclipse, winner of the 3 Mile Harbor Press Poetry Book Award. The reading will take place at Stockbridge Coffee & Tea. Her poetry and essays have appeared in various publications, including Orion, Creative Nonfiction, Terrain, Briar Cliff Review, Catamaran, and others. Look out for her forthcoming chapbook, Verna. Kosek will hold the reading with poet Sarah Sousa, whose poems have appeared in the Massachusetts Review, North American Review, Southern Poetry Review, Verse Daily, among others. More info
