'Skylume' Lights Up Huntsville Nights
While Huntsville has beautiful and unique public art pieces displayed throughout the city, “Skylume” is a first of its kind in the Rocket City. Located on the north end of John Hunt Park near Joe Davis Stadium, Skylume stands 60-feet tall and formally displayed for the first time during a ceremony on May 13. The work by Indianapolis artist Adam Buente features painted steel and aluminum, kinetic elements and programmable lighting that transforms the sculpture from day to night.
