apply to be a SOUL - Student orientation undergraduate leader MiamiOH.edu/soul

Priority Application Deadline: This Sunday

Our Priority Application Deadline is almost here! If you’re interested in knowing your status in the application process before winter break apply by this Sunday, November 28. If you need some more time to work on your application, you have until January 9, 2022 to apply and will be notified about your status by January 24, 2022. We’re excited to review your application regardless of which deadline you choose to apply by!
SOULs are informed, resourceful guides who assist new students and families throughout the orientation process. They lead small groups of students and serve as ambassadors to welcome new students to Miami. As a SOUL, you will have an opportunity to gain critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. No prior leadership or involvement experience is required to be considered for the SOUL position. SOUL is a great opportunity for you to welcome and lead new students and develop skills employers are looking for at the same time.
Additional information about the SOUL position can be found on the Orientation and Transition Programs website.

A Message from the Assistant Director

Hello!
My name is Alexis Roach, and I’m the Assistant Director of Orientation and Transition Programs. In my role, I have the absolute pleasure of overseeing the SOUL program, which includes recruiting, selecting, training, and eventually leading the 2022 SOUL team! With the priority application deadline quickly approaching, I welcome and encourage you to apply to be a SOUL.
Throughout the entire application process, our team is so excited to get to know you better. From your application, to the interview process, and beyond, we want to learn about your interests, passions, strengths, and what makes you unique. Be yourself! We are looking for a SOUL team that is open, honest, and authentic. It is also important to us that we recruit a SOUL team with a wide variety of backgrounds, identities, and interest areas to welcome new Miami students.
Whether or not we’ve had the opportunity to meet already, I’m really looking forward to getting to know you and learning what makes you unique. If you have any questions throughout the application and selection process, please don’t hesitate to contact me at roachak@MiamiOH.edu.
I hope you have a restful break with opportunities for joy and gratitude. Don’t forget the priority deadline for SOUL applications is this Sunday, November 28th at 11:59 pm!
