Did you know these fun facts about Donna?
I was born and raised in the Hamilton/Oxford area. My first experience at Miami was Saturday Art in the 1970’s. I have been working at Miami since March 1998 (with a six-month hiatus mixed in there). When Cheryl hired me, I was as green as the grass—I knew nothing about computers, working at a university, etc. But I am glad she saw something in me during that scary interview those many years ago because it has been an adventurous experience of learning since. I enjoy my position in GLI, and I jokingly refer to many of my job duties as the ‘junk drawer’ in that everything that no one knows what to do with lands on my desk.
My first vacation wasn’t until I was in my mid 20’s! Since then, I have traveled across the country on Amtrak and cruised to Mexico, the Bahamas, and other Caribbean islands.
I have enjoyed riding a Segway through Washington DC and on the beaches of Mexico. I had an exciting time riding an underwater scooter in the waters of the Bahamas. And, I even experienced a taxi cab accident in the heart of Central Park in NYC.
I will be married to my husband Rick for 18 years in December. He has one daughter who has one daughter, and I have two daughters and one son who has three daughters.
I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, so if I didn’t have to work, my time would be spent sharing Bible truths with others in the ministry. I also enjoy to sewing, remodeling homes, and, of course, spending time with our granddaughters.
