| Dosages for Ryanodex and Sugammadex Medication Update:
Sugammadex is now available via the OR pharmacy and in the emergency airway bag. Sugammadex is approved for a Single Indication; 16mg/kg IV for near immediate (3 minute) reversal of 1.2mg/kg rocuronium (rapid sequence intubation dose) as a life-saving administration in the event of the development of a can’t intubate and can’t ventilate emergency condition. Ryanodex, a nanosuspension of Dantrolene, provides fast reconstitution and administration during the treatment of MH. Each vial contains 250 mg of dantrolene and requires reconstitution with only 5 mL of sterile water for injection. Ryanodex vials will be replacing the traditional dantrolene vials in the MH kits and in the soon to be deployed MH carts. A vial of Ryanodex will also be included in the emergency airway bag. Contact Paul St. Jacques.
