Encouraging Election Participation
Voting is now open for the Board of Directors election, which will select four directors to serve a four-year term and establish an order for alternates. Please communicate with members of your district about the importance of the election! Remember, each school shall vote for up to four candidates and each active school chapter will count as one vote.
Coaches can learn more about the 13 candidates seeking election in Rostrum. When they are ready to vote, they log in to their Account page and select 'NSDA Voting' from the left side menu.
One student from each nominating district will be entered into consideration for the 2018 William Woods Tate, Jr., National Student of the Year Award. Six finalists will interview with an esteemed panel of educators during the National Speech & Debate Tournament. The National Student of the Year is announced during the Awards Assembly at the National Tournament.
District chairs, help recognize your competitors as they perform in Fort Lauderdale this summer! Submit your district ad for the 2018 Tournament Book by April 15. Not sure where to start with your ad design? We can create it for you! Pricing and dimensions are included in this form.
Taxes and Reporting

District Leader Luncheon - RSVP by April 24
Join us at the 2018 District Leader Luncheon and Award Ceremony during Sunday registration at the National Tournament in Fort Lauderdale! Please RSVP here by April 24.
We hope you'll also consider nominating a peer for the District Leader Commendation Award! This award recognizes outstanding individual contributions while also raising awareness about the value of distributive leadership. Please note that district chairs are not eligible for this award.
