CEB Awards for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing

The entire LLS community is invited to join the CEB Awards for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing reception today, Tuesday, August 30 at 5 p.m. in Burns Lounge. These awards honor the top brief writers from last year’s Legal Research & Writing classes. This is a great opportunity to commemorate the hard work that went into writing these briefs, mingle with classmates and alumni, and learn more about legal writing from practitioners.

University Raising Pay for Lowest-Paid Staff Colleagues

The university's lowest-paid staff will receive pay increases above and beyond their annual merit increases this year, following the results of a comprehensive compensation study conducted over the summer by Human Resources. More>>

Reminder on Campus Operations During Holidays

With Labor Day approaching this Monday, Sept. 5, we share an important reminder about campus status and access on official school holidays. On official school holidays, there is no regular campus access; there is limited security staffing and no other services, including the LLS Shuttle. The William M. Rains Library is also closed on official school holidays. (Upcoming holidays are viewable by staff in Workday by selecting Time & Absence / Time Off & Leave Calendar.)

Events

Event coordinators are encouraged to use the LLS Events Calendar for events they want promoted broadly. Members of the LLS community should select "LOG IN WITH SCHOOL ID," which will prompt the system to use your single sign-on credentials to allow you to create posts. Note: You must select "Loyola Law School" in the department field in order for the event to display in the LLS roundup. Questions? Email us!
