Summer 2023: What's New at SURVIVORS |
Saturday Conversations at the Mingei |
|
|
SURVIVORS spent another fantastic Saturday morning in the Mingei Museum's Frances Hamilton White Art Library. Executive Director Etleva Bejko hosted a conversation about SURVIVORS and our mission and vision moving forward with some of our long-time friends and supporters. It was so inspiring to hear each of them share the WHY behind their involvement with SURVIVORS.
The group also viewed the impactful "25 Million Stitches" exhibit - one stitch representing each refugee worldwide (based on 2019 data). Thank you to the Mingei Museum for facilitating this opportunity!

SURVIVORS' Team Member Featured by UNHCR in honor of World Humanitarian Day |
SURVIVORS' Government Affairs Manager Clint Carney was featured in a recent piece by the United Nation's High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) that highlights the work of six humanitarians helping asylum seekers on the U.S. southern border.
World Humanitarian Day honors the lives of 22 humanitarian aid workers who were targeted in an attack on the Canal Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq 20 years ago. We are grateful for incredible individuals, like Clint, who dedicate their lives to making the world a better place. Read the full article here!

THANK YOU to Our Community! Hygiene Product Donations |
Once again our community has stepped up to support our clients and their families! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated hygiene and self care products through our Amazon Wish List. The rising cost of living has made it increasingly difficult for our clients to afford many necessary hygiene products. It means the world to us that so many of you are bringing comfort to our clients through your generosity
If you are interested in giving through our Amazon Wish List, you can find it linked below. We've also added backpacks to support SURVIVORS' kids on their journey back to school.
