Due to the very overcast skies tonight, we are rescheduling tonight's Star Gazing to tomorrow May 19th from 9pm to 11pm. The program details are listed below.
I know that the date is not one of the rain/cloud dates, but it will be the very best night this week to observe the stars. I hope that you all can make it tomorrow night for very clear skies and an amazing star show!

Time: 9pm to 11pm Where: Spring Farm Pavilion (directions)

Hi all,
Let’s enjoy the night sky together!
I invite you to attend two nights of guided stargazing on May 18 and June 24 (cloud dates are 5/19, 5/21, 6/25). The Mohonk Preserve will host these events and I will serve as your guide as we explore the summer sky!
The dark skies undisturbed by major light pollution at Mohonk Preserve will serve as an outstanding viewing location. Learn the season’s constellations, how to find stars, and hopefully spot a meteor or two. These events will take place at the Slingerland Pavilion at Spring Farm Trailhead. Remember to dress in layers, bring a blanket to lay on, bug spray, and a flashlight.
Location: Mohonk Preserve - Slingerland Pavilion at Spring Farm Trailhead
Dates:
- 5/18/25 (rain/cloud dates if needed: 5/19, 5/21) from 9:00 – 11:00PM
- 6/24/25 (rain/cloud dates if needed: 6/25) from 9:30 – 11:30PM
Registration is required:
Happy Skies,
Raj
